Signal chat application

When  Kaspersky  VPN is active in my smarphone Samsung Note20 Ultra  5G,  I cannot receive messages on  Signal, only after opening the App Signal  all the messages are downloaded.  If i close VPN then  the App Signal  is working normally as  all the others Viber, Telegram and  WhatsApp  and  messages are received when  sent.  I tried altready all possible  set up on the phone but  no results. Only by closing VPN  Signal works  normally like the other Apps, Signal is  the  only chat App having  this problem. What is strange is that On another Samsung Note 9 which I have Signal is working properly and does not have such problem.

Problem  solved by myself.  Found out that  Signal  need to be  activated  every time you  switch off the phone,  problem is that in the  Autorizations menu of  the Settings when  you open the  Signal  APP  this function  is not much visible and is little confusing, in my case for exmple  I could see in  light grey  “active”  but indeed it was not active  I had to close it and  activate again, after  it  was working.  Also the message  warning that  Signal need to be activated remain on the screen less than one second  and  difficult to understand what you have to do.

  1. Which OS version, open phone Settings, find About or About phone
  2. Which KVPN version is installed → open KVPN, select 3 tiny circles (to the right of the Home icon), select the Info tab, version is shown in About the app field ?
  3. Has “cannot receive Signal msgs, unless Signal is open”, ever worked on the N20?
  4. Have all correct permissions been applied to Signal? 
  5. Is Signal set as SMS default?
  6. Post a video of the issue please?
  7. Is there any other Kaspersky software installed? 
  8. Is KVPN Free or Subscription?
