Computer Lockup with (j) update

Last night Kaspersky Total Security updated to and also installed a new password manager. As soon as the installation was finished, when I tried to save an open Word 2016 document, Word froze and would not respond. The computer would not open Task Manager or shut down normally. I had to power it off. Upon restart, I uninstalled the new Password Manager and turned off Ransomware protection in Malwarebytes Premium 3.8.3 since I am guessing that this may be the same incompatibility problem reported on Malwarebytes Forums with KIS  I have been staying at Kaspersky 2019 to avoid the issues that have been reported between the latest 2020 e version and Malwarebytes but that apparently no longer works.

I have used Kaspersky Total Security and Malwarebytes Premium, with exclusions set in both programs for many years without a problem until yesterdays Kaspersky update to the (j) revision. Please advise any recommendations to fix this problem so that I can utilize the protection of both programs. Thank you.

Running in Real Time multiple protection layers is not recommended.
Concerning your issue ,  please disable  MalwareBytes “Ransomware Protection” and reboot your system. Also , please consider to install Kaspersky 2020.
