Kaspersky Kids do not longer limit my sons PCs (Windows 10)

Hi there,

the Kaspersky Kids didn´t limit the pc (windows10) of my son anymore (Since a few days , 18.02.2021).
When he starts the pc say´s  “No Limit today”. I uninstall KSK und reinstall it, but today it´s the same.
That´s a huge problem, who need to be solved soon. The only reason is the limiting. If that doesn´t work, KSK is useless for me.

After I restart the computer the limit is set…...but that´s much to late, when my son already been 3 hours on the pc (normaly 45 minutes).

Kaspersky @Anton Mefodys has requested, please:

  1. Collect traces of the issue in KSK
  2.  Enable tracing, follow: How to get trace files for Kaspersky Safe Kids for Windows
  3. Reboot OR restart KSK (Exit KSK and then launch it again).
  4.  Open MyKaspersky and change time limit settings ( for instance shift the limit)
  5.  Wait for 15 min
  6.  Make sure that these new settings were not applied by KSK (no notifications appear)
  7.  Exit KSK
  8.  Copy traces from "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Safe Kids (product version)\Logs" folder to another folder (for instance to the new folder on Desktop)
  9.  Disable tracing in KSK.
  10. Send these traces to Tech support with description of the issue and screenshots → to log a case Kaspersky Technical Support,  follow the template image below:

 

  • After submitting the case, you’ll receive an automated email with an INC+12digits reference number, then, normally, within 5 business days, a Kaspersky Technical Support human will be in touch, also by email, you may continue to engage with the Kaspersky Technical Team via email or by updating the INC in the MyKaspersky account.

I have exactly the same issue, windows 10. I’ve not changed anything. Seems to be a bug in the software.

thanks, if I have time I will do this, however, I probably won’t have time to mess around with all the above, this should be fixed in software testing before release perhaps?

A similar problem, the KSK has stopped working on the system for the last couple of days. When are the new patches going to be released? Reinstalling doesn't help.

Hello there,

I see it the same way. It´seems a problem in the software and now we have to fix the problem by our own. Spending many times on my sons PC and check everything. You nearly have to be a specialist for this. If you are normal parents with no clou about computers, you are lost.

By the way. Meanwhile I can´t stop KSK at my son  PC. Everytime I want to stop or paused it and I want to login → the programm says “Username or password not correct”. So I can´t start the settings for traces…….funny, isn´t it? I can´t uninstall it by the way….because…...yes….I have to login for this. If I use the same username (mail) and password in “My Kaspersky” it works.
And now the smartphone of my son is the same…..no limit anymore or -much better- it´s always blocked. Both connected with the same account.


Please check your software before you bring it to business. 2 years no problem at all and now nothing works…….why don´t you bring the old version back? It works for me fine.
Feels like a Microsoft Style--→ there´s a new version…..let the people find the bugs……

You have to understand my situation. I pay money for this programm and just at this time it´s important to control my childrens work on the computer. He got homeschooling and mostly he ist alone til we came home from work.

I already send a message to the support with all details they want…..so I wait. We will see.

have you had it fixed, because i have similar problem. My kid can pause KSK time limit countdown on Win10 Pro. Is it on laptop? I think he does it by opening and closing the laptop screen several times.
